This week was pretty good for the most part. there really isn't a lot to say. I was sick (as you know) last weekend
and it carried on to this week. However, transfers were on Tuesday so I got a new companion. However,
after comida I could not walk, so I had to be taken to the hospital for four days, three nights. I'm all good now. It
was an extremely bad infection in my stomach and my intestines. But estoy bien now with a bunch of meds--I
believe seven a day for this week--I'll be all better.
The hospital is the best hospital in Veracruz--it competes with Meridian Park Hospital on the care. Its not like the
US, but it'll do. I was hooked up to an IV with a bunch of meds in it. But I'm all good now. During the stay me and
my comp watched a bunch of church movies and read a bunch of scriptures as well as church music. There wasn't
a whole lot to do to be honest. But oh boy, those church movies really get to you. Gods Army One and Two-like
c'mon Elder Farrell, what are you thinking? You're a missionary! You shouldn't be putting yourself in those situations.
Oh man! And Once I Was a Beehive! Oh, that's a good one!! haha I was finally let go from the hospital Friday at
like six in the noche.
After I was released we went right to an appointment which went pretty dang well. And then we had to go rush to
the church and clean the font because we had a baptism the next day at 10. It was actually really fun. We were
just talking the whole time and getting to know each other. Turns out that his trainer was Zach Bowers--he's
actually in our stake. Wow! Small world--am I right? And he only has like two months left and 70 baptisms under
his belt. So what's up? On top of all of that, he seems like a nerd but he is a G. We were talking about movies
and turns out that he likes all the random music and movies that I like.
The baptism went well. But after they had a bunch of really good looking food. However, I am not allowed to eat
any fats or pecantes. This is really hard to do considering the fact that like everything has some sort of fat in it.
So I am really limited to tuna, veggies, fruits, corn flakes, and fruit loops for this week. But that's all good--I'm
getting my bikini bod back in shape.
Well anyways some things I have learned this week is things can always get worse, but more importantly things
could always get better. watching all of those church movies also helped me learn a bunch of stuff as well.
Such as--if you have a brain tumor you probably should stay home. And also everyone is able to change,
even if you don't think they can. They could be a gang member in California, but God has prepared him in a way
to receive your message. This means that no matter where you are you should always be prepared to open your
mouth and share what you believe. Share it with your friends, Invite your friends. What's the worst that could happen?
They say no? Or they get mad and upset and start being rude? This means two things--one, you're right; and two,
they probably weren't a true friend anyways, if they're gonna react like that to your beliefs.
That is all I got for this week. Love you all!
Church is true. Go be awesome (trademark of Anne Bagley).
Have a great week.
Love you all.
